A Little History Of My Life: I was born and raised on my parents farm outside of Lueders, Texas. I had never been outside of the state until I was 13 when my dad took us to visit relatives in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. Melvin and I married in 1955. He worked at the Lueders Limestone Company. We moved to Anson, Texas where he worked in the oilfield and I was taking care of our home and children. In the late 50's and early 60's missile bases were being built and Melvin went to work for a company that leased equipment to the Air Force, everything from portable toilets to airplanes. I worked from our house taking calls and dispatching. We moved to several different states. It was a good experience for "country kids". Living like "Gypsies" was not good for our children when they started to school so we moved to Houston, Texas in 1965.
