Travels:  Since we don't fly, our travels have been limited to a certain degree but we have had fun visiting many parts of the US. - As a school administrator, I was fortunate in having the opportunities to travel to many parts of the United States for various types of professional activities: California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Arkansas, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, New Jersey and all over Texas.

Amtrak Train Travel is a great way to see the US. We have had fun visiting the following states by train: Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Indiana, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.

We have taken some bus tours to Oklahoma, Missouri and down into Old Mexico. Also we’ve been on two Caribbean cruises: one to the Eastern Caribbean and one to the Western Caribbean. We have reservations on a third cruise that will take us to the Mexican Riveria.

RV traveling trips have taken us all over the southern part of the US. We are in the process of planning a six-weeks RV trip to California for this fall.

A Little History Of My Life:  Born in Lueders, Texas on a farm south of town. Moved to California when I was just a few years old. Entered college in Abilene, Texas. Graduated with a degree in Elementary Education in 1960. Moved to Odessa, Texas where I taught sixth grade for two years. Then returned to Abilene where I started teaching for the Abilene Independent School District. Married Shirley Webb in 1964. Through the years we had two daughters and one son. Attended graduate school and received a Masters Degree in Elementary Administration. Held various administrative positions in Abilene until my retirement three years ago.
