Family:  My parents were James Alvin "Red" and Odessa (White) Cox. Red died in 1960 and my mother, Odessa, died in June 2001. I have brothers, James, Wayne and Jack. My wife’s name is Pat. Our children are Jimmy, Eddie and Patti Cox .Our grandchild is Brandon James Michial Cox.

Hobbies or Favorite Pastimes:  Horses, Horse Driving, Wildlife, Repair of all kinds - Mechanical, Appliance, Electronic, Hydraulic, Auto & Guns, I also read a lot and enjoy meeting new people. I like fishing and hunting.

Travels:  Europe while in the Army, Old Mexico and Southern & Western United States.

A Little History Of My Life:  After high school, I worked at the stone quarry, church camp, oilfield and wheat harvest. I joined the Army in 1961 along with Bob Culver. Went to Fort Ord, Fort Dix, Verdun and Bardeou, France. Was TDY all over Europe as mechanic and M.P. I drove a race car at Riems and Lamons, France and wrecked it. My last months in the Army were at Fort Knox. I went to Lancastor, CA where I had visited in the Army and met my wife, Pat Wall at Church. - Married her four years later. During that time, I sailed the Pacific, worked at Explosives, worked Security at Movie Studios & Edwards Air Force Base. We left California and came to Texas where our last child was born. We raised our children at Anson, Childress and Whiteface, Texas. I worked at Sales in Abilene, Texas - Policeman, Rancher/Farmer and Sales in Childress, Texas - Deputy in Whiteface, Texas. At present I am permanently disabled with chronic asthma and bad disc in back.

Special Accomplishments:  I served as Deacon in the Church of Christ at Lancastor, California
